"Lessons have been learned, mostly about the value of public relations. Byruch hired Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations of Philadelphia to shout [about his restaurant] from the rooftops, and he's glad he did. He only wishes he had done it sooner. 'In today's climate in restaurants you need to generate a certain level of interest and hype before you open. That was one thing I didn't do enough of,' he said. "There was a natural buzz out there before we opened but not a 10th of the buzz that could have happened if Paige had been there.'" -- Philadelphia Business Journal, July 18, 2008 Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations offers communications services to clients who contribute to a sustainable world and positive change. The firm is the first and only certified B Corporation public relations company in the Philadelphia area, meeting comprehensive and transparent social and environmental standards. The firm has executed media relations plans on both a local and national level, and its clients have appeared on NBC, ABC, CBS/KYW, Fox, Better TV, MTV, and TLC, and in Lucky Magazine, Marie Claire, Redbook, In Style, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Shape, Elle, Self, Allure, Health, Kiwi, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Entrepreneur, The Los Angeles Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, Philadelphia Magazine, Philadelphia Style, The New York Times, The New York Daily News, American Spa, The Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Green, Treehugger, The Style Network, NBC's "The Today Show," and more.
PWMPR distinguishes itself from
other PR firms with a commitment to three principals: Environment — Green Isn’t Just the Color of Money Paige Wolf Media & Public Relations is proud to be the first and only certified B Corporation public relations firm in the Philadelphia area and one of very few in the country. Certified B Corporations must meet comprehensive and transparent social and environmental standards, standing out as leaders in the green market. The firm has made a commitment to serving clients using the most ecologically friendly and sustainable methods available while still communicating its message to targeted demographics. The firm deals only with clients who contribute to a sustainable world and positive change through a variety of business practices.
By
working from her home-based office in Center City, Paige can easily implement
recycling and energy-saving practices while practically eliminating commuter
fuel as most clients are a walk or bike ride away. PWMPR encourages clients to
utilize electronic mediums to create far less paper waste, and The Paige Turner displays a consistent
message of eco-friendly living, highlighting green tips and resources in every
issue. PWMPR is a member of the Sustainable
Business Network of Greater Philadelphia and Greenpeace, and on the board of Philagreen Hospitality Association. From high-end luxury brands to avant-garde arts festivals to neighborhood restaurants, many of PWMPR’s clients have one thing in common — they represent the vibrant diversity of Philadelphia culture. In addition to thriving media relationships, the success of PWMPR’s publicity campaigns is due in part to solid connections with key community organizations. PWMPR has built meaningful relationships with a wide range of other publicists, firms, and organizations, collaborating on efforts to share business, cross-market clients, and gain favorable attention to the city as a whole. Identity — We Love You Just The Way You Are While we want our clients to always be the star of the show, PWMPR realizes that the PR firm’s image makes an impression on the media and community. But we don’t see image as just looking good in a little black dress. To us, image is about honesty and sincerity, not being afraid to get your hands dirty — and not taking yourself too seriously. Public relations is about meaningful interactions, so there’s no smoke and mirrors here. Our clients, friends, and media contacts appreciate our truthfulness and candidness. The company’s monthly e-newsletter, The Paige Turner, serves as a promotional tool for our clients as well as an outlet to share things that we are personally passionate about. And at our office, it’s always casual Friday. Anything more and the company pet might ruin our shoes.
In 2010, Paige published her first book, Spit That Out! The Overly Informed Parent's Guide to Raising Children in the Age of Environmental Guilt, which received national acclaim from People.com, Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine, The Huffington Post, Daily Candy, and more. Paige regularly appears as a green living expert on television, and she has been featured in numerous publications, including Boho, MSN.com, and Forbes.com. She frequently speaks at green living conferences and expos and has written about green living for several publications. As
an event planner and publicist, Paige has co-chaired The Career Wardrobe’s
annual “A Perfect Fit” premiere fundraiser for the past six years. She has been
involved with the planning, execution, and publicity of community events,
including Manayunk Eco-Arts Festival, GreenFest Philly, With Love Super
Adoption Day, and Sustainable Business Network’s Sustainaball. She serves on
the advisory committee of The Career Wardrobe, and is a member of The
Philadelphia Public Relations Association, Greater Philadelphia Sustainable
Business Network, and Women’s Way’s Young Women’s Initiative. Paige’s awards include the Philadelphia Public Relations Association’s Fast Track Award. She is one of Earth911.com’s “Five Moms Who Made a Difference” and one of Circle of Mom’s “Top 25 Eco-Friendly Moms.” She is also proud to be a Parent Ambassador for Healthy Child, Healthy World. Paige holds a degree in English/Journalism from the University of Delaware, where her work at the newspaper and resurrection of the campus magazine helped to earn two Pacemaker awards. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband, son, and American Hairless Terrier. |
