The Career
Wardrobe announces its eighth annual premier fundraising event. A Perfect
Fit will be held Wed., June 3 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Park Hyatt at the
Bellevue.
A Perfect Fit will feature a fashion presentation by local anchorwomen and media personalities, including: Monique Braxton, Dawn Timmeney, and Denise Nakano from NBC10; Sue Serio, Kerri-Lee Halkett, Nefertiti Jaquez, Dawn Stensland-Mendte, and Michelle Buckman from Fox 29; and Erica Grow from 6ABC. These prominent media personalities literally donate the suits off their backs to The Career Wardrobe after modeling them. This year's event incorporates the theme "Recycle a Suit, Renew a Woman's Life," which reflects the organization's work to repurpose tens of thousands of pounds of clothing each year into working wardrobes which can literally transform a woman's life. The evening also will include live music from singer/songwriter Karen Gross and a spectacular silent and live auction featuring celebrity-signed handbags custom made by Viv Pickle Handbag Boutique in Philadelphia. This year's celebrity-inspired and signed handbags include Steve Carell (The Office), Kenny Chesney, Kellan Lutz (Twilight), Ron Howard, Melissa Etheridge, Bette Midler, and T.R. Palace at the
Ben announces a new all-you-can-eat buffet luncheon, every day from 11:30 a.m.
to 3 p.m. for $9.95 per person. This is a great option for people who love the

The third
annual IDEAS Women's Business Expo will be a one-day event giving area
businesswomen a chance to network, take in seminars, and become more aware of
the resources available to them. Attendees will gather to meet like-minded women
from a wide range of industries to exchange business cards, see old friends and
make new connections. The event also will include a clothing drive for The
Career Wardrobe. The event will take place Tues., April 21, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
